Lettie Shoop

Mrs. Lettie Shoop, 69, of Blooming Valley, died at Spencer Hospital late Monday night after a one-week illness.

Mrs. Shoop was born in Blooming Valley September 16, 1898, a daughter of John and Katherine Bossard Gerdon.  She was married in Ralph Shoop, who died in 1947.

She owned Shoop's Service Station in Blooming Valley for the past 40 years.

Surviving are a son, Charles R. (Pete) Shoop of Blooming Valley, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A brother and a son died previously.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
