Lillian M. Scannell

Lillian M. Scannell, 68, of Meadville, died at Meadville Medical Center, Tuesday, October 30, 1990, after a brief illness.

She was born in Franklin on October 26, 1922, a daughter of Robert E. and Daisy May Beers Austin.  She married James O. Scannell on March 20, 1946.  He survives.

She was a homemaker.  She was a member of the auxiliary of Charles Stafford Post III American Legion, Meadville.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, the Rev. Rodney E. Scannell of Sharon and James M. Scannell of Saegertown; a daughter, Pamela Jo Scannell at home; three sisters, Sally McCandless, June Austin and Mrs. Paul (Gloria Ann) Showstall, all of Franklin; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katheryn Darling.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
