Lucille J. Cornell

Lucille J. Cornell, 81, of Haines City, FL and formerly of Girard, died Thursday, November 5, 1998 at Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, FL.

She was born February 25, 1917 in Havre, Montana, a daughter of the late Gerhard and Olga Paulsen Hemly.  She married John Cornell.  He preceded her in death in 1976.

She was a production worker at Marx Toys, division of Girard Manufacturing for over 20 years.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Girard.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Winter Haven.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Higgins of Saegertown; two sisters, Edna Fehr and Donna Stephanson, both of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Morris Hemly of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald J. Cornell and two brothers, Robert and Edward Hemly.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Girard Cemetery.
