Lucille V. (Vozar) Lindberg

August 1, 1926 — December 13, 2021

Lucille V. Lindberg, 95, of Meadville and formerly of Elizabeth, PA died Monday, December 13, 2021 at Wesbury United Methodist Community where she was affectionately known as “Lucy” to the staff and residents.

She was born August 1, 1926 in McKeesport a daughter of John Janos and Julianna Cservenak Vozar from Hungary.  She married Kenneth W. Lindberg and he preceded her in death February 23, 2006.

She was a graduate of McKeesport High School, the Pittsburgh Institute of Technology and the LaSalle Extension University.  She worked as a confidential secretary/administrative assistant at the Central Highlands United Methodist Church in Elizabeth, PA and as a secretary/stenographer in the Metallurgical Department of United States Steel’s National Tube Works in McKeesport.

She was a former member of the Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth, PA and its Shepherds of the Flock, United Methodist Women, Young as You Feel, Administrative Board, Membership Secretary and various other committees.  After moving to Meadville, she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood East Allegheny Branch #8462.  She was a Life Member of the Order of Eastern Star, Elizabeth Chapter #418 with 50 years of faithful service, a member of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, Elizabeth Twp. Senior Citizens and the McKeesport High School Alumni and Friends Assoc.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her son, Kenneth A. Lindberg (Judy) of Davenport, FL; her grandson, Kenneth A. Lindberg II of Lakeland, FL who was the light of her life, many nieces and nephews and all of those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew and Kalman Vozar and two sisters, Anna Vozar Droppa and Helen Vozar.

A private service will be held for the family with Rev. Benjamin Travis, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.

Celebration of Life Service will be held in Meadville in the Summer of 2022.

Interment will be next to her husband, in Mount Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport, PA.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, P.O. Box 933, Meadville, PA 16335.
