Lydia L. Shakespeare, 90, formerly of Albion and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since August 1980, died at Wesbury Saturday, December 8, 1984, after a period of failing health.
She was born at Shermansville, July 26, 1894, a daughter of Theodore and Margaret Smock Wescott. She married Robert S. Shakespeare in 1913. He died in 1972.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Albion; Edris Dale Rebekah Lodge, East Springfield and the Ladies Aux. to the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Surviving are three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert, four brothers and two sisters.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Albion Cemetery.
