Lynn (Buttray) Duncan

September 24, 1936 — March 13, 2022

Lynn B. Duncan, 85, formerly of Meadville and a long-time resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL died Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Lone Tree, Colorado.

She was born September 24, 1936 in Meadville a daughter of Donald Irven and Edna Faye Rockwell Buttray.  She married James David Duncan August 11, 1962 at First Baptist Church, Meadville.

She was a 1954 graduate of Meadville High School and first worked at the former American Viscose Corp.  After she and Jim were married, she worked alongside him at Duncan Photography in Ft. Lauderdale until they retired. Lynn continued to be Jim’s co-pilot in retirement as they flew their plane around the country visiting family and friends.

Family and friends meant everything to Lynn.  She loved to cook delicious meals for others to enjoy, and cherished every opportunity to bring people together.  She will be remembered for the incredible thoughtfulness and love she showed for each person in her life.

In addition to her husband, Jim, of 59 years, surviving family include: two sons, Cameron D. Duncan of Seal Beach, CA and Ian D. Duncan of Lone Tree, CO; two step-children, Linda D. Cohen of Minneapolis, MN and Douglas S. Duncan of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Joshua, Alexander, Lachlan, Kieren, Genyss, Sarah and Sean; two great grandchildren, Jace and Ryan; a brother, Jeffrey M. Buttray of Southfield, MI and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Irven P. Buttray.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 2-3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.  The service will be livestreamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/lynn-duncan

Interment will be at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
