M. Gertrude Dewey

Miss M. Gertrude Dewey, 74, died Wednesday afternoon at the Ida M. Cribbs Methodist Home, where she had resided the past two years.

A native of Mercer County, she was a graduate of Meadville Commercial College and attended the Red Cross School of Nursing at Philadelphia.

She was a companion-housekeeper for the late L. L. Swisher, the Diamond, and was a member of Stone Methodist Church.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Laura Whitman of Greenville and a brother, Dr. N. D. Dewey of Harrisburg, VA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Deer Creek Cemetery.
