M. Ruth Bovee, 84, formerly of Meadville and a resident of St. Paul's Home, Greenville, died at Greenville Hospital, Tuesday, February 12, 1985, following a period of failing health.
She was born at Linesville, June 23, 1900, a daughter of Maurice and Anna Loesch Powell. She married Harold E. Bovee May 30, 1923.
Early in her life she was employed as a stenographer at Barrett Machine Tool Company and Allegheny Mutual Casulty Company, both in Meadville. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, its Bible class and Laides Aid Society.
In addition to her husband, who is also a resdient of St. Paul's Home, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Marjorie) Smith of Luling, LA; a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Mildred) Pike of Bushnell, FL; a brother, Joseph (Bud) Powell of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, two daughters, and a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
