Margaret B. Frazier

Margaret B. Frazier, 93, a resident of Crawford County Home, formerly of Meadville, died Wednesday, April 19, 1989, at the home following a period of failing health.

She was born in Hayfield Township, September 6, 1895, a daughter of Sherman and Mabel Turner DeRoss.  She married James B. Frazier on May 17, 1916.  He preceded her in death on March 6, 1968.

She was a practical nurse at American Viscose from 1931 to 1941; at the Crawford County Home from 1942 to 1950; and for a period of time, at the former Flickinger's Nursing Home in Meadville.  She attended Allida-Smith Memorial Wesleyan Methodist Church in Meadville.  She was a member of Conneautville Senior Citizens and was a former Democratic Chairperson in Hayfield Township.

Survivors include two sons, Carl E. Frazier of Myrtle Beach, SC and James B. Frazier, Jr. of Saegertown; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Lettie) Decker of Meadville; a sister, Gale Kitchen of Columbus, OH; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a great-grandson; a brother, Stanley DeRoss and three sisters, Babe Lueck, Gladys Comstock and Lyle Doyle.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
