Margaret Cordelia Williams

Margaret Cordelia Boozel, 66, of Rogers Ferry Road, Meadville died Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville February 8, 1938 a daughter of Neil N. and Dorothy South Mullen.  She married Veo Boozel July 9, 1966 and he survives.

She was a 1956 graduate of Saegertown High School.  She attended Hamot Nursing School in Erie and Practical Bible Training School.  She received her BS in Nursing from Barrington College, Barrington, RI and her MS in Education with a minor in Psychology from St. Francis College in Ft. Wayne, IN

She retired in 1999 after 41 years in the nursing field.  She first taught nursing at the former Meadville City Hospital and at Lutheran Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Parkview Memorial Hospital all in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She also taught and for a short time headed the Department of Nursing at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, IN.  Most recently she worked as a nurse in cardiac telemetry at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN.

She was a member of Denny’s Chapel Church and was a former pianist at the church.  She was also a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 38 years, include one son, Kevin M. Boozel and his wife Christina M. Brendle Boozel and their son, Adam M. Boozel all of Erie; one daughter, Kristen K. Morales and her children, Brian N. Boozel, Margaret O. Morales and Katherine A. Morales all of Meadville; one son-in-law, Dan Morales of Ft. Wayne, IN and one stepbrother, Charles David Marr and his wife Jacquelyn Jean of Fairfield Glade, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepbrother, Douglas Marr.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Jenkins, officiating.

Burial will be in Denny Cemetery.
