Mrs. Margaret L. Blackhurst, 79, of Meadville, died Saturday, June 5, 1976, at Spencer Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born at Bradford August 27, 1896, a daughter of Michael and Joanna Hill Linan. She married George V. Blackhurst Sr. in 1920.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Olin (Mary) Wood of Meadville and Mrs. W. A. (Grace) Ferguson of Milton Freewater, OR; four sons, Robert C. Gilbert of Saegertown, Fred L. Blackhurst of Franklin, James Blackhurst of Meadville and George V. Blackhurst of Conneautville; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Henegan of Meadville and Mrs. Genevieve Mahoney of Yakima, WA; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren and three sisters.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
