Margaret "Peg" J. Matters

Margaret “Peg” (Gallagher) Matters, of Clarks Mills, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 3:15 PM surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Peg was born March 26, 1956 in Greenville, PA. to the late Charles and Velma (Brink) Gallagher. She married Richard D. Matters on July 15, 1978, he survives. She attended Lakeview Schools. She worked a short time for St. Paul’s Nursing Home where she was a C.N.A., and then later becoming a homemaker for her family. Peg enjoyed bowling. She was in a league for several years in Greenville, and even won several championships. She also loved watching the Steelers, but her favorite show to watch was Days of Our Lives. Most of all Peg loved her family, she will be deeply missed by all of those who know and love her. Peg is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Richard J. (Megan) Matters of Clarks Mills, and her two daughters, Amy (Robert) Cook of Clarks Mills and Martina (Kent) Wagner of Amherst, OH; and Jeremy (Stephanie) Sennett, whom she considered a son; her grandchildren, Christian Vogt, Robert Cook, Jr., Rilee Cook, Marshall Cook, Nash Wagner, Jett Wagner, Layla Wagner, Easton Matters and Jordan Sennett. She is also survived by one brother, Charles (Beverly) Gallagher, four sisters, Leteshia Smith, Vera Guthrie, Debra Matters, Mildred (John) Griffith, and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by three brothers, Delbert, Walter and Raymond Gallagher and two sisters, Mary Lou Hodge and Eleanor Ayers. The family would like to thank the Yolanda G. Barco Center, especially Dr. Han and Julie, R.N. for the wonderful care that they had given her throughout her battle with cancer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, STONEBORO, PA where family and friends are welcome on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
