Marguerite First

Mrs. Marguerite First, 87, of Meadville, died Wednesday, June 22, 1977, at United Methodist Nursing Hospital where she had been a patient for six years.

Born in Randolph Township, September 16, 1889, she was a daughter of Eugene and Mary Wilson Crouch.  She married Silas A. First, June 28, 1910.  He died in 1970.  She was a member of Stone Methodist Church for 74 years and was a former Sunday School teacher and choir member of the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Williams of Meadville and Mrs. Allen (Harriette) Baldwin of Longmont, CO; a son, David D. First of Meadville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
