Marian B. Poke

Marian B. Poke, 76, of Meadville died Saturday, March 13, 1976, at United Methodist Nursing Hospital after a six-month illness.

Born in Pittsburgh December 6, 1899, she was a daughter of Walter J. and Annette Seeds Bowman.  She married Harry Poke in 1927.  He died in 1954.  A member of South Hills Lutheran Church, she also was a member of Meadville Grange.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Lorrayne) Smith of Fremont, CA; two stepsons, Raymond Poke of Mechanicsburg and Howard Pake of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Moeller of Nova Scotia, Canada, Mrs. Albert J. Schueler of Pittsburgh; a brother-in-law, Archie Cunningham, with whom she made her home in Meadville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Isabella Sloan and a brother, Walter B. Bowman.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
