Marian O. Gilbert

Marian O. Gilbert, 89, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, for the past two years, formerly of Guys Mills, died Sunday, August 6, 1995, at the care center.

She was born in Randolph Township, January 29, 1906, a daughter of Clinton W. and Mattie Oakes Gilbert.

She was a graduate of former Edinboro Normal School and retired in 1968 as an elementary school teacher at Randolph/East Mead Elementary School in Guys Mills.

She was a member of the PA Retired Teachers Assn.  She was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Ewing of Corry; a brother, Karl C. Gilbert of Guys Mills and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gilbert.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
