Marjorie (Aunt Joyce) Bowen

Marjorie (Aunt Joyce) Bowen, 75, of Meadville, died Thursday, February 24, 2000, at her residence following a brief illness.

Born July 23, 1924, in Lefthand, WV, she was a daughter of Charles and Hester Justice Graham.  On July 28, 1964, she married Galon F. Bowen, who preceded her in death February 2, 1985.

For nine years, she worked at ABI Vending before retiring in October 1999.  In eariler years, she worked as a hairdresser in Cleveland.

A real people person, she was also an avid gardener who enjoyed her flowers.

She enjoyed all animals, especially her dogs, and crafts.

Survivors include a brother, Bill Graham of Cleveland; two nieces, Judy Laird (George) and Cheryl I Knox, both of Meadville; three nephews, David Graham of Cleveland, Richard B. Knox of Meadville and Gary A. Knox (Pamela) of Guys Mills; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment of cremated remains was in Clover Cemetery, Spencer, WV.
