Mark Anthony Sobieski

Mark Anthony Sobieski, 60, of Conneaut Lake died Friday, January 21, 2022 at UPMC-Mercy in Pittsburgh.

He was born October 18, 1961 in Meadville a son of Frank and Audrey Roalman Sobieski.  He married Carrie L. Steingrabe June 23, 1990 and she survives.

He was a 1980 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and the Crawford County Career and Technical Center.  He was an equipment operator and former Road Master for Sadsbury Twp.  Previously he had worked at Hyde’s Garage, and the former Gumino Lincoln Mercury and Bud Miller Ford.

He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He was active with Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troop 228, enjoyed drag racing, muscle cars and Junior dragsters.  He was also an avid hunter and loved spending time at his camp.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Carrie of 31 years, include; two sons, Evan Sobieski (Tiffany) of Meadville and Justin Sobieski of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Lynn Sobieski (Jamie Chisholm) of Espyville; his mother, Audrey Sobieski of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Bonnie Harvey (David) of Mount Gretna, PA and Pamela Everett (fiancé, John Leasure) of Conneaut Lake; two nephews, Dustin Harvey (Deborah) of Spring City, PA and Jeff Walker of Conneaut Lake; a niece, Amanda Hannold (Gabe) of Deltona, FL and three great nephews and six great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Sobieski and a nephew, Derek Harvey.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.  Knights of Columbus service will be at 4 p.m. followed by the funeral service.

Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
