Martha M. Cannon

Martha M. Cannon, 84, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist since 1995, died there Friday, April 30, 1999.

She was born at Hadley February 22, 1915, a daughter of Robert Findley and Ada Pearle Stright Allison.  She married Harold E. Cannon, who preceded her in death February 20, 1985.

Mrs. Cannon was a graduate of Erie Business School and had been employed at one time for the Meadville Ration Board; the CIO Union of American Viscose Corp.; Talon, Inc.; the Meadville Area Chamber of Commerce; and as Executive Director of the Crawford County Tourist Assn.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and its Hope Circle; Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Elks Lodge #219 Auxiliary; and the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary.

She dedicated her life and her love to her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Lang (Jack) and Sue Kilburn (Ron), both of Meadville; a son, Robert Cannon (Peg) of Chagrin Falls, OH; nine grandchildren, Dane Land, Donald Lang, John Cannon, Matthew Cannon, Douglas Fullerton, Daniel Fullerton, David Kilburn, Courtney Kilburn and Michael Kilburn; four great-grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, David and Michael Lang.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert William Allison.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Hadley Cemetery.
