Martha I. Prystaloski, 96, a resident of Juniper Village passed away there on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
She was born October 13, 1925, in New Lebanon, PA, a daughter of the late Carter and Emma Lenore Eakin Irwin. Martha married Anthony Leon Prystaloski February 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2013.
Martha attended New Lebanon schools and graduated from Sandy Lake High School. Throughout the years, she was employed at G.C. Murphy and American Viscose. Martha was also employed for 18 years as a ward clerk and secretary with Spencer Hospital.
Martha enjoyed traveling with her husband to every state except Alaska and also to Mexico and Nova Scotia, Canada. In her younger years, she also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Constance J. Zappia (companion, Mike Bacon) of Meadville; two grandchildren, Angelina “Lena” Zappia (husband, Joshua Lawrence) of Lubbock, TX and Domenic “Jay” Zappia (wife, Kerrie Curtin) of Kansas City, MO; eight great-grandchildren, Seth (wife, Destiny), Sara (husband, Zach), Jacob, Zachary, Nicholas, Hayden, Brooklyn and Olivia; two great great grandchildren, Dakota and Kendrick; a sister-in-law, Beryl Irwin of New Castle and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew Glenn, Oliver Earl and James Lesley and Donald Carter Irwin; and one sister, Laura Mae Kuhn.
A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Shreffler, officiating.
