Mary Jane Boozel

Mary Jane Ann (Nordland) Boozel, age 86, of Meadville, passed away on Wednesday afternoon April 8, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Jamestown, NY on June 5, 1939, the daughter of Rudolph and Helen Nordland and on April 23, 2005, she married Veo Boozel.

Mary graduated from the Women's Christian Association (WCA) Hospital School of Nursing in 1959, and proceeded to attend the Practical Bible College, where she received her degree in 1963. 

She was a member of Denny Chapel and was baptized in Frewsburg, NY on June 5, 1939, at Kiantone Congregational Church.

Mary Jane was nurturing, caring, and smart. She became talented with instruments including Violin, Cello, Piano, Flute, and Guitar. She could sing and draw effortlessly. Her kindness will flow through generations.

She is survived by her husband, who loved her dearly, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.

Family and friends can be received on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the funeral home with Jim Gurnee, Pastor of Denny Chapel officiating.

Burial will be private at Denny Cemetery.
