Mary Catherine Casanave

Mrs. Mary Catherine Casanave, 65, of Jenkintown, who had lived for the past two weeks at the home of her son, Philip Casanave, Jr., of Meadville, died at Sunday, January 7, 1968, after an illness of several months.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY, May 17, 1902, a daughter of Ki and Cecelia Kaufman Hosono.  She married Philip J. Casanave, Sr. on March 14, 1929.

Mrs. Casanave was employed as a sales clerk for the past 30 years at the Nan-Duskin Clothing Store, Jenkintown.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Jenkintown.

Surviving are her husband, Phillip J. Casanave, Sr. of Pennsauken, NJ; a son, Phillip, Jr. of Meadville; two brothers, James and George Hassano of Philadelphia; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
