Mary Elizabeth Grindrod

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Grindrod, 88, of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, March 7, 1959, at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.

She was born December 15, 1870 in Lyona, Richmond Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Jacob and Maria Robbins Braymer.  She was married to Herman J. Grindrod, November 5, 1895.  He died May 29, 1917.  She lived in Meadville for many years and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church.  In Wellsville, she was a member of the Congregational Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herman S. (Ruth) Marshall of Wellsville; two granddaughters, Mrs. Albert W. Henderson of Riverside, CT, Mrs. Harold C. Dussel of Washington, DC and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was  in Greendale Cemetery.
