Mary H. Caffey

Mary H. Caffey, 93, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since December 1974, formerly of Guys Mills, died Thursday, January 9, 1986, at Wesbury following an extended illness.

Mrs. Caffey was born in Moville, Iowa, June 30, 1892, a daughter of Lewis and Ella Giles Hatch.  She married Frank B. Caffey, January 1, 1921.  He preceded her in death, August 30, 1965.

She was a teacher in the Meadville school system and previously taught in the Bound Brook, NJ, school system.  She was a member of the United Church of Guys Mills and was a graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School.

Survivors include a nephew and two nieces, all of Canada.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Monroe; and a brother, Francis Hatch.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery.
