Mary W. Evans, 76, formerly of Meadville, a resident of Beverly Health Care Meadville since November 16, 1999, died there Wednesday, December 27, 2000 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Pittsburgh, January 26, 1924, a daughter of the late Ralph and Florence Wolf. She married Calvin C. Evans July 4, 1944 and he preceded her in death December 21, 1998.
She was a homemaker, a member of New Harmonial Fellowship, and had been an active member of the Meadville Senior Center, Alcoholics Anonymous and volunteered with Meadville Head Start.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol McCullough (James) of Junction, AZ; four grandchildren, Gary Everett of Baltimore, MD, Meicy Brown of Meadville, Dennis Everett of Union Bridge, MD and Sherree Hancock of Meadville; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen May Wolf; three brothers, Ralph, Oliver and William Wolf and two grandchildren, Michael and Karen Sue Everett.
Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.
