Maude Waid

Mrs. Maude Waid, 82, formerly of Meadville, a patient at the Mead Nursing Home for the past year, died Thursday morning, April 18, 1974, at City Hospital.

She was born at Lyona, Richmond Township, September 1, 1891, a daughter of William and Emma Knowles Hammond.  Her husband, Clarence A. Waid, whom she married in September 1911, died in 1957.

Mrs. Waid was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by a son, Milford of Meadville; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Alma Pratt, died in 1956.  Mrs. Waid was preceded in death also by a sister, Mrs. Sadie Moyer and several half-brothers and half-sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
