Medrith G. "Jake" Shumaker
June 5, 1915 — August 26, 1959
Merdith G. "Jake" Shumaker, 44, of Meadville, was killed in a one-car accident on Hunter Hill Road early Wednesday August 26, 1959.
He was born in Morgantowns, WV, June 5, 1915, a son of Lucien E. and Maud Coddington Shumaker.
He was employed several places with his latest being at the Greenville Steel Car Co.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Rachael Smith of TN and Miss Janet Shumaker of Quincy; three sisters, Mrs. Erma Foor of Morgantown, Mrs. Ada Hutchinson of Warren, OH and Mrs. Wilda Weir of Meadville; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
