Melvin C. Miller, 52, of Atlantic, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh following an accidental death.
He was born November 4, 1953 in Geneva, a son of Crist K. and Ann E. Fisher Miller. He married Sherron Campbell March 21, 1998.
He was a 1971 graduate of Meadville High School and the Crawford County Vocational-Technical School. He worked as a contractor most of his life, self-employed as owner and operator of MCM Construction of Atlantic. He performed a 2-year Mennonite voluntary service; was an avid hunter and die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan; and especially loved being with his nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his father, Crist K. Miller of Orrville, OH; two stepsons, Chris Queale (Elia Cashen) of Andover, OH and Shawn Queale (Andi) of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, William C. Miller (Susan Sedola) of Sarasota, FL; three sisters, Linda A. Beachy of Sterling, OH, Kathy S. Crouse (Rod) of Cambridge Springs and Deborah J. Horst (Bob) of Dalton, OH; five grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Aristen, Lexi and Emma; nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law, Jean E. Campbell of Andover, OH.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
