Michael J. Washnock, 78, of Pawcatuck, CT, died Monday, January 27, 1997 at his residence.
He was born October 29, 1918, at Rockwood, PA, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Urbanek Washnock.
He was a veteran of WWII with the US Army and had retired from Terry Steam Turbine Co. of Hartford, CT, where he had been a Sheet Metal Worker for 26 years. He was a member of St. Mcihael's Roman Catholic Church, Pawcatuck.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Ann Washnock of Pawcatuck, CT; a son, Thomas Washnock of Big Pine Key, FL; two brothers, John Washnock of Tampa, FL and Joseph Washnock of E. Springfield; a half-sister, Mary Potosky of Guys Mills and two half-brothers, Edward and Alexander Potosky of Guys Mills; also nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Washnock; a sister, Helen Porter and a half sister, Evelyn Potosky.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
