Myron O. Bogardus

Myron O. Bogradus, 86, of Meadville, died at North Park Manor, Tuesday, September 20, 1983, after a one-year illness.

He was born in Jackson Township, Venango County, November 30, 1896, a son of Elmer and Margaret Bogardus Bogardus.  He married Hazel Waters, April 5, 1916.  She died September 12, 1983.

He retired as a chain machine operator from Talon, Inc. in 1961 after 30 years of service.  He also operated groceries at Black Ash, Kerrtown A&P and North Main Street Extension.  From 1961-77 he worked as custodian at Meadville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where he was a member.  He also was a member of the adult Bible class at the church and was a former elder.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Berneta) Walls and Mrs. Thomas (Marian) McDowell, both of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Twila) Osten of Meadville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
