Miss Myrtle A. Rice, 97, a resident of United Methodist Nursing Home and Hospital since 1958 and formerly of Cooperstown and Franklin, died Tuesday, February 3, 1981, at the home following a lengthy illness.
She was born at Cooperstown, January 17, 1884, a daughter of Joseph C. and Louise J. Collins Rice.
She was a member of Franklin First Methodist Church. She was a graduate of the former Cooperstown Academy and of CLSW of Chautauqua, NY. She was a self-employed dressmaker.
She is survived by a half sister, L. Gibson of Coopertown.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cooperstown Cemetery.
