Nathan C. Buckley, Stoneboro, Pa, passed away peacefully on Monday, (3-30-2026) surrounded by his loving family. He was 44.
Born on May 22, 1981 in Greenville, PA he was a son of Paul W. and Jane L. Pizer Buckley.
He was a 1999 graduate of Lakeview High School and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Management/Recording Industry. He loved music, especially The Grateful Dead.
Nathan had a way about him that displayed his dry wit, he was also a very kind hearted and compassionate person and was known as the guy that was always the first one to show up to help others in need. He was also nostalgic, he resurrected and restored a VW Bus, which he cherished and loved to travel in to visit friends, near and far. He was a wine connoisseur and was always punctual, detail oriented and was always a good planner.
Most of all, he loved his family, especially his wife Nicole, Nathan proposed to her at The Tree of Life in New Orleans and then they were married on May 28, 2022. She survives at home, also surviving are a son Alix M. Smith, his parents: Paul and Jane Buckley along with two brothers: Paul (Leah) Buckley and Curtis (Carla) Buckley and two sisters: Lori (Scott) Zahniser and Lynn (Mike) Wallace and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, Maternal grandparents, Carl W. (Doris) Pizer and paternal grandparents Paul E. (Evelyn) Buckley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for Glioblastoma Research. Please make checks payable to the University of Pittsburgh. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin St, Stoneboro where family and friends are welcome from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM, on Monday, April 6, 2026.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in the funeral home with Rev. Adam J. Rodgers, officiating.
Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jackson Township
