Norma Eileen Seaman, 79, of Meadville, died there Wednesday, April 5, 2000, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Meadville, March 22, 1921, a daughter of Harry and Naomi Cutshall Ganster. She married Theodore F. Seaman April 21, 1921 and he preceded her in death September 17, 1994.
She was a 1934 graduate of Meadville High School, and had been employed as a Secretary in the Security Office of Edinboro University for 10 years. Previously, she had worked as a secretarial supervisor in the Mental Health Unit of Meadville Medical Center. She was a member of the Venango VFW Post #169 Aux. She especially loved birds and was a member of the Audobon Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gail White (David) of Meadville and Mrs. Eileen Jamison (Dan) of Central America; three sons, Paul B. Seaman (Anita) of Meadville, Robert N. Seaman (Gloria) of Conneaut Lake and Lynn E. Seaman (Kim) of Cleveland; two sisters, Geraldine Tessmer of Elgin, TX and Marian Logan of Corry; three brothers, Rexford Ganster of Carlisle, Frank Ganster of Meadville and Samuel Ganster of Norman, OK; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Mason and Autumn Gallman and three brothers, George, Russell and Blaine Ganster.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Radle Cemetery, Randolph Township.
