Norman I. Cronin

Norman I. Cronin, 84, of Meadville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022.

He was born March 29, 1938 in Meadville, a son of Charles and Florence Guenther Cronin.  He married Patricia A. Waite August 11, 1962 and she preceded him in death August 8, 2015.

Norm was a graduate of St. Agatha High School.  He worked at Avtex, was a former Vernon Township Supervisor, and retired from the road department of Vernon Township following over 20 years of service.

Norm was a member of The Epiphany of The Lord Parish and was a member and former treasurer of Vernon Central Hose Company.  He enjoyed golfing, especially at Whispering Pines Golf Course and loved his Sheltie dogs.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley A. Cronin and Susan A. Cronin, both of Meadville; a brother, Dennis Cronin (Nancy) of Meadville; a sister, Carolyn Zur (Marion) of Meadville; a brother-in-law, Charles Waite (Marsha) of Meadville; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Cronin and a brother, Joseph Cronin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville with Fr. Joseph Petrone as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Rd. or Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine St., both of Meadville, PA 16335.
