Olive H. Franklin

Mrs. Olive H. Franklin, 70, of Meadville, widow of John A. Franklin, died Thursday, January 20, 1966, at the home of a friend in Union City where she had been staying the past three months.

Mrs. Franklin was born at South Braintree, MA, May 27, 1895, a daughter of Joel and Martha Spencer Holland.  She married Mr. Franklin in 1925.

Mrs. Franklin retired in 1963 after teaching for more than 30 years in the public school system at Guttenburg, NJ, where she was an art supervisor and librarian.  She was a graduate of Hyannis Normal School at Hyannis, MA.

She came to Meadville upon her retirement.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred M. (Carole) Kern of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Clarence S. (Ethel) Dike of Atlantic City; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
