Olive Weiss Bash

Olive Weiss Bash, 105, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, Erie, died there, Friday, July 4, 2008.

She was born in Shelocta December 27, 1902, a daughter of Lewis and Ida Weiss.  She married Benton Bash and he preceded her in death in 1960.

A graduate of Indiana High School and Indiana Normal School, she was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Conneaut Lake for 30 years, retiring in 1969.  She was a member of the American Postal Workers Union and the Rebbekah Lodge, Conneaut Lake.

A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake and former Sunday School Teacher, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Marschka and her husband Richard of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and several brothers and sisters.

Calling hour will be Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. William R. Green, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
