Ollive Bennett

Olive Bennett, 86, formerly of Grave Run Road, Cambridge Springs, and a current resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died there Saturday, February 14, 2009.

She was born February 24, 1922 in Fort Wayne, IN, a daughter of the late Rollo and Sarah Burke Bennett.

Olive attended McDaniels Corners School and worked in housekeeping at Rolling Fields in Conneautville for 20 years, retiring in 1986.  She formerly attended Lyona Bible Church and especially enjoyed embroidering and family gatherings.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Hilda Bennett of Ft. Wayne, IN.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Raymond, Irving, Harold, and Charles Bennett and 3 sisters, Mildred Wygant, Ruth Klippel, and Bertie Hawk.

Calling hour will be Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral and committal service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Robert Bennett, nephew officiating.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
