Orville F. Huber

May 9, 1910 — March 10, 1998

Orville F. Huber, 87, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born May 9, 1910 in Hayfield Township, a son of the late Frank and Jessie Maloney Huber.  He married Louise A. Weyman September 23, 1936.  She preceded him in death September 16, 1996.

Mr. Huber was a graduate of the former Little Corners High School and Meadville Commercial College.  He worked at the former American Viscose Co.  He previously owned and operated Keystone Hardware Co.  He later managed Baldwin-Welcomer Furniture Store and then worked in sales for Marquette Furniture Co.  He also worked in real estate sales later in life.  He was a former member of Cussewago Lodge #108 International Order of Odd Fellows.

He was a member of Littles Corners United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Jessie) Durasa of Conneautville; two sons, Mr. Paul L. (Francie) Huber and Mr. Orville F. (Trudy) Huber, Jr., both of Meadville; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews including Shirley Dean of Chicago and Clarence Dean of Birmingham, AL whom he helped raise.

He was preceded in death by one son, William Huber; two sisters, Bernice Cole and Eva Belle Huber; and one nephew, Royal Dean whom he helped raise.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
