Patricia R. Lafferty, age 95, of Meadville, passed away on Monday afternoon, June 1, 2026, in Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
She was born in Clearfield, PA on June 12, 1930, the daughter of Lloyd and Viola (Sigrist) Mullen.
She was a 1948 graduate of Meadville High School and a graduate of Meadville City Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. On November 3, 1951, Pat married J. Roland “Pete” Lafferty, he passed away on August 16, 2005.
Patricia was employed as a Registered Nurse at Meadville City Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1987.
She devoted her time to volunteering at the local soup kitchen and reading with students at West End Elementary School. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, the Meadville YMCA Gallivanters, and Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at her camp in Tionesta, and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (John) Karns; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Lafferty; two grandchildren, Heather (Nicholas) Basko, Garrett (Meghan) Lafferty; one step- granddaughter, Sara Reynolds; five great-grandchildren, Nathan Karns, Carter Karns, Alaina Karns, Gabriel Basko and Joshua Basko; two sisters, June Peterson and Donna Mullen; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jeffery Lafferty, a grandson, Dr. Christopher Karns, a step-grandchild, Jamie Reynolds, a sister, Connie Durish, two brothers, Charles Mullen, Lloyd “Buck” Mullen Jr, three brothers-in-law, Joseph Mullen, John Durish, and Jerry Peterson.
Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM– 6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMOTRY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. Family and friends will also be received on Friday June 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jane Ellen Nickell officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stone United Methodist Church, boiler fund, 956 S. Main St. Meadville PA, 16335.
