Patricia Ann (Switzer) Roberts passed away in the loving care of her family on Friday, March 27, 2026. She was born June 11, 1937, in Venango County, Pine Grove Township, Fertigs, PA. She was a daughter of Truman Arthur and Janette Eleanor Whitling Switzer Gallagher and was reared by her father and his wife Clara Goodman Switzer.
She married Clyde A. “Bim” Roberts on July 20, 1954, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2004.
Pat proudly attained her high school diploma years after being a wife and homemaker. In early years, she worked for the Idlewood Restaurant in Franklin PA, the Vengold Restaurant/Bowling Alley in Sandy Lake, PA. Her employment continued with many years at Polk State School and Hospital in Polk, PA. She was also employed with Lakeview High School as a bus driver and handicap van driver, where she was admired deeply by the students and was known as the “friendliest thing on 6 wheels.” More recently Patricia had an alteration business out of her home in Stoneboro, PA. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and sewing. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly.
In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, two sisters: Susan O’Connor and Lucille McCarty and three brothers: Truman Switzer, Harry Switzer and Richard Switzer; two daughters, infant Dotty Jean Roberts, and Jo Ann (Robert) Parker and a son, Ronald Wayne Roberts and two son in laws Barry Robert Nissly and Lynn Walhiem.
Patricia is survived by one sister-in-law: Janice (Truman) Switzer; four children, Theresa Marie Walhiem of Hermitage, PA, Clyde A. “Andy” Roberts and his wife Julie of Grove City, PA, Donald Wade Roberts of Transfer, PA and Karen Lynn Wilson of Canfield, OH along with15 grandchildren,17 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a faithful follower and prayer warrior of Christ. She attended Calvary Fellowship Chapel in Mercer, PA for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
She will be remembered by her love to tell others about the saving grace of Jesus.
She is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 2 – 4 PM, Monday , (3-30-26) at the Calvary Fellowship Chapel, 1033 North Perry Highway, Mercer, Pa, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM in the church with Pastor Kristian McGee of Mount Salem Camp Ground Ministries, WV and Pastor Brock Henry of Calvary Fellowship Chapel will be officiating the services.
Interment: New Lebanon Cemetery, Mill Creek Twp., Sandy Lake, Pa.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose & Black Funeral Home & Crematory, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro.
