Paul F. Schuetz

December 10, 1912 — June 29, 2006

Paul F. Schuetz, 93, a resident of Cordia Commons, Meadville and formerly of Harmonsburg, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Meadville, December 10, 1912, a son of the late Henry and Emma Anderhalt Schuetz.  He married Josephine M. Riordan February 25, 1946 and she preceded him in death June 5, 1992.

He was a graduate of Meadville High School and was a US Navy Veteran of Operations.  He retired as a Meadville Policeman in 1968 following 26 years of service.  He subsequently worked as parts manager for several years at Dillaman Auto Body, Meadville.  He was a member of the Meadville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 97, Meadville Masonic Lodge 234, Meadville Elks Lodge 219, and the Charles Stafford American Legion Post 111, Meadville.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, working with old cars and was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.

He was a member of Lake Lutheran Church, Conneaut Lake.

Survivors include a son, Paul E. Schutz (Patricia) of Meadville; a grandson, Brian P. Schutz (Kathy) of Greenville, NC; a granddaughter, Lisa M. Schutz of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Patty Bowler (John) of Meadville; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Harold Schutz.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
