Pearl L. Pees, 97, a resident of the Hillside Home, Meadville, a retired teacher, died Thursday, December 31, 1992 at Hillside Home following a period of declining health.
She was born October 21, 1895 in Mesopotamia, OH, a daughter of Edman and Edna Bowyer Pees.
She was retired from teaching third and sixth grades at Meadville's Second District School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, its Friendly Sisters Sunday School class and the Women's Guild. She was a graduate of Meadville High School, Edinboro State Normal School and Pennsylvania State University. She was a member of AAUW, the Meadville Bird and Tree Club, Crawford County Historical Society and a previous member of the Ladies Advisory Committee of the former Meadville City Hospital.
Survivors include a nephew, Duane Spencer of Pittsburgh and several cousins.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
