Pearl Owens

March 29, 1885 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Pearl Owens, 70, wife of R. L. Owens, of Meadville, died Wednesday evening at City Hospital.

She was hospitalized February 4th after suffering a broken leg in an auto accident.  Mrs. Owens was stricken about a week ago by a heart attack, from which she failed to recover.

Born in Richmond Township, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shorts, she was a resident of Meadville most of her life and was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Ivan Childs of Vero Beach, FL; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Shea of Meadville; a brother, Bert Shorts of Canisteo, NY; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
