Peter J. Pitt

Peter J. Pitt, 81, died at his home in West Mead Township, Saturday morning, after a lingering illness.

Born in Randolph Township, Mr. Pitt had spent his entire life in Crawford County.  He was a member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving is the widow; two daughters, Mrs. O. M. Cornelius of Akron, OH and Mrs. Leon Swift of New York; five sons, James J., Edwin F., Francis C., all of Meadville, Norman W. and Charles J., both of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister, Mrs. Fred Mailliard of Guys Mills; a brother, James of Union City; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
