Philip J. Rung
September 25, 1920 — March 27, 1979
Philip J. Rung, 58, of Erie, formerly of Meadville, died of natural causes at home Tuesday, March 27, 1979, after an extended illness.
He was born in Union Township, September 25, 1920, a son of Philip C. and Hattie Harmon Rung.
He attended the Church of Christ in Sandy Lake, and was a veteran of the US Army during World War II serving in the Pacific theater.
He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Nancy Run of Geneva, OH; a brother, Charles Rung of Meadville and several cousins.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Huber Cemetery.
