Phyllis Brumbaugh Peters

Phyllis Brumbaugh Peters, age 96, of Meadville, passed away Friday morning December 12, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center.

Phyllis was born in Meadville on April 9, 1929, the daughter of Austin and Julia (Grams) Brumbaugh.

She was a 1947 graduate of Meadville High School and in February of 1951, Phyllis married Ralph William “Bill” Peters, he passed away on January 22, 2007.

She was employed at Spaulding Inc. and was previously employed at Talon Inc. as a Secretary.

Phyllis was a member of the Meadville Alliance Church.

She is survived by two sons, William E. Peters of Meadville, and James Peters and his wife Claudia of Meadville; a daughter, Sharyn Hite and her husband Jack of Clearfield; a sister, Sally Bosco of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Diane Brumbaugh; four grandchildren, Laura Mealy and her husband Carl, Emily Peters, Misti Conley, and Tonya Baer; cousins, and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Gregory Peters, a sister, Marlene Dillaman, and three brothers, Samuel Merle Brumbaugh, Larry Brumbaugh, and Norman Brumbaugh, and a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Raab Peters.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 581 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE.

Burial will be private in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 1650 W. 82nd St., Suite 400, Minneapolis, MN 55431.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
