Rachel S. Griffin
September 16, 1922 — July 8, 1980
Rachel S. Griffin, 57, wife of Donald E. (Jake) Griffin, of Meadville, died Tuesday, July 8, 1980, at City Hospital following an illness of eight months.
She was born in Long Beach, CA, September 16, 1922, a daughter of Charles and Margaret McPherson Steinbrenner. She married Griffin on June 29, 1943.
She was a member of Cochranton United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. James (Kathleen) New of Shreveport, LA; a son, Thomas C. Griffin of Meadville; one brother, the Rev. Conrad C. Steinbrenner of Wilkes-Barre; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
