Ralph Hanford, 80, of Mercer, PA, passed away at UPMC Jameson Hospital on April 25, 2025, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Grove City, PA, on October 2, 1944 to Wendell and Margaretta Hanford of Stoneboro, PA.
Ralph graduated from Lakeview High School in 1962. After graduation he attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He then lived in California for a few years before relocating to Philadelphia. He worked as a graphic designer for Scientific Publishing. Upon retirement, he returned to Mercer County.
Ralph is survived by his brother and sister-in-law John & Penny Hanford of Sandy Lake, PA; three nephews, Douglas & Michael Hanford, and David McClelland; and his great niece, Megan McClelland.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Roberta McClelland.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, PA. Visitation for Ralph will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 3, from 11am-1pm, with a funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
