Ralph L. Eves

Ralph L. Eves, 68, of Meadville, died Wednesday, February 12, 1964, at his home following a short illness.

He was born at Millville, October 20, 1895, a son of Orville and Ida Jocoby Eves, and married the former Marie J. Grier August 22, 1923.

Mr. Eves retired December 31, 1963, as a chemist for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad.  He was a member of the Friends Society of Millville, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and Taylor Hose Company.  He had been a member of Stafford American Legion Post 111 for 38 years and served as its commander in 1944.  He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Thomas of Warren, OH; a son, Robert A. Eves of Meadville; a brother, Harold Eves of Deerfield Beach, FL and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
