Raymond C. Miller

Raymond C. Miller, 66, of Meadville, died Friday evening at Spencer Hospital after a brief illness.

Son of the late Thomas and Anna Beatty Miller, he spent his life in Meadville except for a few years in Greenville.

For 45 years, he had been employed by the Erie Railroad as a sheet-metal worker and pipefitter.

He was active in several Masonic bodies and often worked with the preparation of special dinners and events.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lodge 408, F & AM; Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 191, NW Commandery 25, Knights Templar, of which he was past commander, and Zem Zem Temple, Erie.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Shafer Miller; two sons, Wilford E. of Guys Mills and Meridith R. of Meadville; a daughter, Mrs. Ester L. Moyer of Meadville; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Walp of Meadville and a brother, Wallace H. Miller of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
