Rella Phillips

Rella Phillips, 82, a former Meadville resident and a housewife, died Thursday, January 9, 1992, at her home in Winter Haven, FL.

She was born at Boyer, WV, March 22, 1909, a daughter of Luther and Emma-Nelson.  She married Monroe (Roe) Phillips.  He died February 14, 1972.  She was a housewife and member of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Helen McIntosh of Winter Haven; two sons, Thomas Phillips of Meadville and James Phillips of Riverside, CA; three sisters, Strauddie Taylor of Greenville, Marie Phares of New Bedford and Emma Romeo of Youngstown, OH; three brothers, Edgar Lee Nelson of Korea, Virgil Nelson of Carlton and Jess Nelson of Ohio; eleven grandchildren and nineteen grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
